Internship Overview
This internship is built for motivated students who are ready to dive into the fast-moving world of retail real estate. Over the internship, you’ll work alongside our retail team and see how real deals take shape, from the first phone call to a signed contract. You’ll take on real projects of your own, pitch your work to the team, and walk away with something to actually show for it. Whether you’re more drawn to the numbers side or the relationship-building side, we’ll shape the experience around what excites you most, both in the office and out in the field.
Location: Birmingham, AL
Duration: May 31, 2027 – July 30, 2027 | Paid Internship
Eligibility: College Juniors or Seniors (undergraduate or graduate)
What You’ll Learn & Do
- Assist in site selection for national retail tenants
- Attend weekly client meetings and gain real exposure to active deals
- Join market tours and gain in-market exposure alongside real clients
- Research market data, demographics, and industry trends
- Learn all deal types and understand the flow of a deal in the industry
- Build the tools and skills that go into being a broker
- Explore how AI is being used in the industry
- Work alongside the team on real client prospecting, deals, and negotiations
- Attend team meetings and company activities
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn in a team environment and think creatively
- Understanding of commercial real estate and the industry
- Business-related major
- AI experience is a plus
